Crocus. I've just gotta love plants that have their own cold-weather insulation.
Golden Horn sheds its snowy cap.
Mount Lorne, somewhat higher than Golden Horn, takes a little longer to thaw.
The streets are clear of snow in downtown Whitehorse.
The warm, sunny weather is perfect for a picnic downtown.

How quickly everything changes. I don't think I've seen crocuses that huge before, and the mountains in the background are amazing, Michael. I see Jade is out exploring:)
Haha! From that perspective, it doesn't look like we're downtown at all, even though we're practically next to the parking lot!
Nancy, Jade was having a BALL running around after she finished her lunch. And it's such a pleasure to let her!
Your croci look much more allive than our in the city which are dusty and grey. We need rain!
Yeah, I was thinking, where the heck IS that downtown??
The picnic picture is from Shipyards Park. The others were all taken from the top of the clay cliffs.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY! Michael. It is beautifuf wild flower pictures you took. Our crocus alredy gone in the garden but it is not warm enough to wear t-shirt like Fawn did. All the bests and success.
Happy Birthday Michael!
Hope you get outside to do some wonderful things this year... (I know you will!) and get those kids out with you too.
All the best.
