Fawn and I laughed the other day when I walked up the stairs and Jade greeted me at the top by saying, "Hi Michael!" I didn't realise that she knew me by any name other than "Papa".
They say that kids are impressionable and that they're always listening. Sometimes, Fawn says to me, "You're a bum." It's a term of endearment. I think. Maybe that's why, when I entered a room where Jade was playing this afternoon, she greeted me by saying, "Hi, bum!"
She just turned two. How do you respond to something like that?

Assuming you walked into the room in a forward fashion, I'd respond by turning around and correcting her.
