The Ironic Telephone Survey

Not long ago, I was having trouble receiving incoming calls - not a good thing when one works out of one's house and relies on the telephone to get things done. I phoned NorthwesTel about the problem and the lady on the other end helped to fix it.

This afternoon, I got a phone call from NorthwesTel. The lady was calling to conduct a follow-up customer satisfaction survey about the repair. Just as she was about to begin the survey, something happened to the line.

"Hello?" she asked.

"Hello," I responded.

"Hello?" she asked.

"Hello?" I responded.

And then the line went dead.

Ah, Irony. You always appear when I least expect you.
