Seasonally Adjusted

After a few weeks of walking the dog and changing car batteries in -35oC to -40oC weather, my body didn't know what was going on yesterday when it warmed up to a balmy -26oC.  I was out kicksledding and had to shed layers. I was still wearing my snow pants, but on top I had on only a t-shirt and hooded sweatshirt and I was comfortable!

I'm not looking forward to the +4oC that Environment Canada is forecasting for Thursday...

Next Sunday is the scary one. Plus 6 and light rain during the day, dropping to minus 3 that night. The Monday commute (for those in that situation) will be just plain dangerous. :( I'm watching the weather for a trip to Skagway, looking for not too much cold, not too much snow, and not too much avalanche hazard - and having not too much luck!

YOU ARE NUTS!!! If you like the weather so much keep it to yourself!:) Later this week some of your cold is coming our way! I DON'T ENJOY IT! My poor dog turns and runs back in the house when I try to let her out to potty if it's too cold! It's 23 here and I'd just as soon stay indoors! When we lived in North Carolina, they were so unused to cold and snow, if it was 32 and flurries they'd cancel school. Even if it was melting as soon as it hit ground!

Michael - I know how you feel! We've had a few days of mild weather now and today I drove 500+km in the slush.... Give me back REAL winter!

Last night we walked to the neighbours and -27 felt great. It is supposed to hit -2 here later this week. Won't make for good road conditions at all!
