Other than the radishes and turnips I thinned last week, this evening I harvested the first fruit of the season, a Diablo Grande hot pepper. I purchased the Diablo Grande pepper plant from the Yukon Gardens this spring and it has done well in the greenhouse. It's a good sized plant with 8 peppers already growing, and new flowers still coming in.
My habaneros are about to flower and, after they've struggled for three years, I can't wait to see these little fighters finally bloom and bear fruit.
I'll let you know how the pepper tasting goes...
