Justin Bieber's hair. Pomelo-style.

Fawn's mom bought a pomelo yesterday. I'd never had one, but she grew up with them and was very excited to share it with us.

Apparently, Fawn grew up with them, too, and kept insisting that the peel be worn upon the head like a helmet - which I thought was ridiculous.  Mostly because I didn't think of it first.  It must have been part of her cherished childhood memories because I just can't imagine her wearing the giant rind of a jumbo citrus on her head otherwise.

Of course, Jade wanted to try it, too. I wouldn't be surprised if, one day, she also tries to convince her future spouse that wearing a pomelo skin has certain... appeal. *ahem*

I'm glad she didn't keep it on for too long, though. Of course, the picture really doesn't do it justice, but it was frightening how much she looked like Justin Bieber.

Image borrowed without permission from Warner Bros.' Extra Thanks, Warner Bros.! Just let me know if you want me to take this picture down.

Oh, and the pomelo was delicious. I'll be certain to have one again, soon.

I'm proud to say Isaiah said "Mom, why do girls like Justin Beiber so much? I just don't get it!" Me either! Me EITHER!

What does a Pomelo taste like?

I love pomellos but that Beiber comparison is creepy!

Happy new year to you!

Pomelo tastes like a grapefruit without any of the bitterness. Yum.

I'm speechless.

My grandmother bought me my first pomelo. In the Yukon, we didn't get much fruit in general (until the fruit trucks arrived from BC in the earl spring). However, I was grocery shopping with my grandmother in Red Deer and I'd seen it on display. It looked like a giant, citrus-y, and juicy grapefruit.

Anyway, neither of us had tried it, so she put it in her basket and we bought it.

We brought it home. It was big enough for the three of us to eat (Grandpa, Grandma, and me).

I saw one the other day in a store here in Switzerland. I should have bought it. Maybe I'll get it today. Mmmm...a giant, juicy, citrus-y, fruit.

AND YES, you can probably wear the skin on your head--better than wearing it a loin cloth!!!

Happy New Year to you and your family Michael. See you in the summer.

It is really humorous, I was not a lover of Justin Bieber for that longest time... I just believed he was ok. And that i thought all the lousy items individuals said about him. But then I saw this interview he did and it confirmed me how excellent of the particular person he really is and that I shouldn't just imagine all the things I see while in the media. It shocked me a great deal of that i went out and purchased Justin Bieber tickets that extremely same day!
