Apparently...

... marine mammal identification is not one of the courses offered by journalism schools.



That harbour porpoise looks an awful lot like a baby killer whale to me.

Fortunately, they caught their error (but not before I did).

Hoo boy. Pathetic. Although the overall shape is similar. You know: head, tail, delta-shaped thing on its back. I mean, it's not an octopus; they got that much right. (It's not an octopus, right?)

Ooh, now you've got me wondering. Now that might mention it, it might be an octopus. Or maybe a squid. Or a jellyfish. Sheesh. All those marine creatures look the same to me.

Well, in their defence "killer whale" is hardly accurate either. I know that's what they're called... but they ain't no whales! ;)
