Weaned.

As of last night, Jade is no longer taking any anti-seizure medications. It's the first time she's been drug-free for over eighteen months. The last time we did a wean, we expected and saw some withdrawal symptoms. It wasn't surprising considering she'd been on an addictive drug for such a long time. This time, things went much more smoothly.

Every time we've reduced her medications, she's become brighter. There's always a risk that the medication was actually doing something. I have long suspected that it was having a paradoxical effect.

Now we wait and see.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you. Kind of hard to do so while working, but someone has to prioritize the important things before the mundane...

Good luck. The drugs have the stupid effect on me, so I wouldn't be at all surprised if Jade was experiencing the same thing.

Great news, Michael and Fawn!! It's a good sign that things seem to be going more smoothly each time.
