One of those slow days.

Ever have one of those "slow" days? The kind of day where you're just not quite "with it"? The kind of day where you pour the dog's water into his food dish instead of his water bowl? Or your cereal into a plate? I'm having one of those.

I just spent the past ten minutes looking for the portable phone, walking back and forth between the kitchen and the living room, which is where I've chosen to work this morning. The inability to find the phone was driving me nuts. I was sure I had just had it. Where could I have possibly left it that I couldn't see it?

As it turns out, the phone was in my pocket.

I can take a small amount of comfort in the fact the phone was neither in the living room nor the kitchen. It was in both. A technicality, perhaps, but one that makes me feel less dumb.

Phew....maybe it's not just my age when I misplace things!
Doesn't your phone base have a pager to locate the handset? You could have paged your pants!

Just as long as you don't put the cat in the stove and the potatoes outside...
